Dorte Weishaupt-Moinian is one of a small number of German master violin-makers who, in the tradition of the old Italian masters, concentrate on the making of new instruments only. She is fascinated by the challenge of producing an instrument on which the musician has the ideal possibility of creating his own personal idea of sound.
